By shifting the placement of the stone and changing the orientation of the magnifier, you alter its power. Place the stone on top of the dish when you want it to be at rest, or place it on the archway to activate. Orient the glass towards you and place anything in the dish you would like to magnify, or turn it away from you and towards the sun to burn whatever lies in the dish.
